Okay, I had no true plans to enter but the music and man sitting outside created an atmosphere that was welcoming. The young man at the front that took the order is an introvert (which is okay). He was kind and let me review my order before leaving.
I got one of each patty, jerk chicken and wings. It was great food. The plantains were hands down my favorite of all local spots I’ve tried.
If I had to give any feedback, it was warm inside (reminded me of being home in PR) but still warm. The rice didn’t taste fresh but it was still good.
Again, I’ll be coming back and surprised they don’t have a line out the door! 😊

Was given old hard rice. The tiniest portion of food. Overcharged for a small cup of gravy. Worst experience, I actually threw my food away.

Divine Kitchen is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. I have been getting the breakfast food because of going to the barbershop with my son in the mornings. I had a friend let me taste the fried whiting fish with scotch bonnet pepper sauce. I also had the jerk chicken previously which was good. It was seasoned deliciously. They prepare great food there. Quick and delicious. Go get yours today with some Jamaican love blended into it. Worth a visit.

Came in to try their Jamaican patties. They have a variety Beef, Curry, veggies& Spinach. I got a Beef & a Curry patty & thoroughly enjoyed both patties.
Curry was delicious, as was the beef patty, which had just the right amount of heat for me. crusts were flaky, crisp to the bite, & filled with yummy, flavorful filling.
10/10 recommend. They also have a variety of drinks, & I finally got a Pineapple Guava drink-if you know, you know!!
2 pattys & my drink came up just under $10.00 & Worth It! (I thought Justin may have missed charging me something because I haven’t had a meal for less than $10 in a whiles😉)
Will is the Chef who makes it Fresh & has Soups, Sandwiches, Salads, Wings & more! Justin l, who is oh so polite & helpful, recommends the Chicken tender sandwich, which I will absolutely try. Divine Kitchen offers a Daily $7.99 Special!! THEY HAVE BREAKFAST TOO til 11am.
If you live or work close by, Divine Kitchen should be one of your go-to places to eat.
If you’re passing through 42/23, you need to STOP @ Divine Kitchen & make your tummy happy with some good eats!
